CHET is the premier institution for Latino ministry education within the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC).
The Association for Hispanic Theological Education (AETH) is approved by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS), an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, to certify the quality of the programs provided by undergraduate theological institutions. AETH is also an affiliate of ATS.

The benefits of this certification are directly received by students graduating from certified programs: first, the certification guarantees the quality and relevance of the courses and programs that are offered to them; second, those who want to continue their studies can have access to master's programs in ATS accredited seminaries that accept such certification as a valid criterion and sufficient for admission to such programs.

CHET is certified by AETH, and its Bachelor in Christian Ministry program meets the expectations of baccalaureate equivalency described in the Educational Standards of the Association of Theological Schools (ES.7 section 7.1.2).
